Tinashe Mafukidze-Wingfield is TWIG’s executive director. She is a Toronto-based impact strategist and co-designer with a track-record of curating customized strategies for people and projects. Her goal is to drive personal and systems-level impact, innovation, and change.
Her experience ranges from grassroots community development to public policy. She draws on her dynamic entrepreneurial experience to manage TWIG’s portfolio of projects. She also introduces inventive methods such as foresight to inform research and recommendations on workforce development. Her sustained commitment to exploring the future of work, together with a focus on economic access issues, are moving TWIG into challenging topics such as microtasking.
Tinashe currently serves on the TELUS Community Board, which provides grants to innovative impact projects. She is also on the Advisory Board of TVO, Canada’s oldest educational television service. Tinashe is completing a Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation at OCAD University. Her research interests focus on the future of work, the worker and workplace for those most marginalized.
